PRAVEX BANK, which is a part of Intesa Sanpaolo Group, launches a new payment service Garmin Pay™ for users of Garmin sports smartwatches. Visa cardholders are able to use Garmin Pay™ starting from May 1, 2024.
Garmin Pay™ is a payment service designed specifically for Garmin sports gadgets. This brand of smartwatch is popular among athletes due to its heart rate monitoring, training planning features, and the ability to receive notifications and calls without needing to access a smartphone.
To link your card to Garmin Pay™ for Android and iOS, follow these steps:
- Download the Garmin Connect app from Google Play or the App Store on your smartphone.
- Sync your smartphone with the smartwatch.
- Add your Visa card from PRAVEX BANK.
To make a payment using Garmin Pay™, follow these steps:
- Access the wallet on your Garmin watch.
- Enter the password you set up when linking your Visa card (only required for the first payment of the day).
- Tap your watch against the terminal at the store.
Garmin Pay™ uses specially created client device numbers and codes for transactions. This means that banking card data is not stored on the watch or Garmin's servers and is not transmitted to the merchant terminal owner.
Garmin Pay™ works wherever contactless payments are accepted. This innovative service makes payment even more convenient for Garmin smartwatch owners, allowing them to pay for purchases and services quickly and effortlessly.
